| Sick Puppies...Free Hugs |
|
This is a very famous clip, world famous in fact. You probably will remember it...but if not.... It all started back in June 2004...it's about a guy who returns home to Sydney from time in London. On arrival back in Sydney he finds there is no one there to meet him, to give him a hug and say hello but he wants what he sees in the terminal, smiling happy people greeting each other with a hug...
To quote Juan Mann (a pseudonym and a homonym for "one man") "So I got some cardboard and a marker and made a sign. I found the busiest pedestrian intersection in the city and held that sign aloft, with the words "Free Hugs" on both sides. As this symbol of human hope spread accross the city, police and officials ordered the Free Hugs campaign BANNED. What we then witness is the true spirit of humanity come together in what can only be described as awe inspiring..." The following video is the actual events filmed in Sydney...and WHAT does this have to do with this website or Cats and Dogs? Well the music for this video clip was provided by Sick Puppies - yes I know, it a very loose connection to dogs...but it is a very nice video...and it's Christmas...and we all should feel this good more often. Enjoy |
