'DockDogs' on Outdoor Channel  E-mail

The Outdoor Channel, America's leader in outdoor TV, announced today that it will debut DockDogs, a new seven-part original series highlighting North America's fastest growing canine dock jumping competition.

DockDogs will be televised exclusively on Outdoor Channel beginning in October and will feature East, West, and Midwest (U.S.A) qualifying events, culminating in the National Championship Finals. The series will feature head-to-head competition between North America's top dock jumping teams in both the Dock-Diving (long jump) and the Extreme Vertical (high jump) competition. Top qualifiers in each region will be invited to compete in the National Championship finals.

"Outdoor Channel identified an interest among avid hunters and anglers for a sporting dog show and delivered DockDogs," said Tom Hornish, chief operating officer for Outdoor Channel. "Our goal is to provide exclusive original programming that isn't available anywhere else." Fitting into Outdoor Channel's initiative to provide outdoor enthusiasts with programming that transcends the ordinary, DockDogs illustrates the network's commitment to offering entertaining and engaging programming that resonates with viewers. The program will be produced for television by Fischer Productions, LLC, a widely-recognised producer of high quality, outdoor-oriented programming.

"In 2005 we aired portions of this competition and there was such a strong interest that we knew we had to produce an entire series exclusive to this sport," said Grant Reeves, chief executive officer of DockDogs(R). "Those who've seen this event first-hand will agree that each competition is unbelievably exciting and continuously filled with nonstop action."

Outdoor Channel is America's leader in outdoor TV, offering programming that captures the excitement of hunting, fishing, Western lifestyle, off-road motorsports, adventure and other outdoor lifestyles.
